Easy Outdoor Play Dough Bowling Game for Kids

My kids love play dough. It doesn’t seem to matter how old they get either. Even my 9-year-old will join in and host a play dough shop or restaurant with his younger brothers. Every time I think that we are over the play dough, my kids surprise me and play for hours with it!

We have gone through a lot of play dough in the past 7 years. Big containers, small containers, eggs and even snowmen have housed this magical dough. Through the fun of play, there is always some that ends up smooshed on the floor or dried out at the end of the day.

So, what do we do with all of the leftover containers once the dough has moved on? Well, let me tell you friend!

How To

This one could not be simpler to set up!

  1. Grab some play dough and form it into a ball. This is a great step to let the kids help with to flex those fine motor muscles.
  2. Set your 6 empty containers in a pyramid shape. 3 on bottom, 2 in the middle, and 1 on top. Or make the tower taller with 15 in the stack (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)!
  3. Model how to roll the ball into the containers and try to knock as many down as possible.

Enjoy!

You guys, this one is soooo easy. You just need to set it up today! And it’s perfect for a wide range of kiddos so all of the siblings can play! Challenge your kiddos by adding more empty containers or keep it simple with a 3-container pyramid. Have the older kids move farther back and let the littles bowl up close. There are so many ways to play!
