Apple Stamping – Easy Kid’s Fall Activity

We made a trip to the apple orchard and it was wonderful! Not only was the weather perfect, but it was a much needed opportunity to get out of the house and spend some quality family time in nature.

One thing is for certain when we go to the apple orchard; we will come home with A LOT of apples! My kiddos generally eat their fair share of apples while picking ( I love that they allow that!), but we always manage to bring home a few dozen apples as well.

While I usually eat an apple everyday and my kids share 1-2, we still have a lot of apples! So, what do you do when they sit in the fridge for a bit too long and are no longer an appetizing snack? You paint with them, of course!

Have Fun Creating!

This activity is so incredibly easy to set up and has such a huge pay off! Your littles will be deeply engaged in their creations (I feel a mommy break coming on!). AND this is the perfect opportunity to sneak in some color recognition and focus on those fine motor skills.

My 5 year old was focused on creating patterns with the colors, while my 3 year old was all about that fork grip and stamp placement.

I absolutely love watching their minds hard at work! The look of concentration is absolutely adorable. It just warms my heart.

Since I only used 3 apple halves, my sweeties were working on sharing as well! It took a bit at the beginning, but eventually they started talking to each other and asking to borrow certain colors.

If you’ve already been apple picking (or even if you haven’t) this apple stamping activity is a must try! I guarantee your littles will love it!
