Kid’s Halloween Play Dough Invitation to Play

Halloween is right around the corner, and you better believe that my kiddos are already getting excited! The stores have been full of costumes, candy, and decorations since before school started (necessary, definitely not, in my opinion). My littles are already narrowing down their costume selections and brainstorming on how we can decorate our yard this year!

Although I think it is way too early to get in the Halloween spirit, the 4 little people in my house strongly disagree (haha)! So, I thought I would help them channel some of that Halloween energy into this easy to throw together Invitation to Play!

Invitation to Play Success!

This truly is one of the easiest set ups we’ve ever done. I grabbed my Halloween trinkets from Target, but Amazon has a great selection as well.

My littles created monsters, faces, bedazzled pumpkins and so much more! And, let me tell you, play dough is such a great tool to use when you are trying to eat up a rainy afternoon or a day at home. I actually had to force my kiddos to clean up for dinner because they had been playing for such a long time! That right there, is the sign of a successful activity!

The best part, is that to set this up, I pulled out all of our old play dough that was on it’s last leg. Most of it was already mixed, which worked perfectly for this activity! Then, when we were done, that crumbly play dough went straight into the trash can and made space for some fresh dough.

An Invitation to Play doesn’t have to be complicated. Grab a base, add some tools and extras, then watch the fun unfold! Check out our Invitation to Play Guide for step by step directions and ideas on what to set up for your kiddos!
